Power Progress covered new survey data from Charter Casting showing that U.S. manufacturers are shifting away from lowest-cost sourcing toward long-term reliability, predictability, and total cost of ownership. The survey of 335 U.S. purchasers of iron and steel products found that 82% prioritize quality over fast delivery, 66% value delivery reliability over speed, and 70% rank “Made in the U.S.A.” as the most appealing characteristic in a supplier.
